Disney Week: {4 Nails, 1 Movie} Day 1 - Peter Pan

Hi all :-) Welcome to another exciting week of content at Spangley Nails.  This week, its all about DISNEY.  I have yet to meet one person who doesn't like Disney, and if you're reading that thinking that sounds like you, quite frankly go look at a website about wet mops or something! ;-) The challenge I've got this week is, I have 4 nails to tell a story of a film, getting in the Heros, Villians, Significant plot twists and more.  Have I set myself up for a fall before we even begin?!

I thought I'd start off with my favourite Disney movie of all time, and that is Peter Pan.  First released in 1953, this classic tale warms the cockles of my heart even now at my ripe old age of 23.  I love watching the story of Peter Pan fighting and defeating old Captain Hook.  I also really love the Peter Pan spin off movie Hook that was released in 1991 - with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman, a real life spectacular.

Fun Fact: J M Barrie (who wrote the Peter Pan story) was Scottish (like me - incase you didnt know!)

I started off by painting my index finger with Kensington Place and Electric Lane, my middle finger with Emerald, my ring finger with Pimlico and my pinkie finger with Damson.

For my ring finger I made Hook's Hook using my dotting tool and dotted White along the bottom.  One that was dry, I added a semi circle with Wet Cement and a Hook with South Kensington.

For my middle finger, I added triangles of Last chance at the bottom to act as Peter Pans outfit.  I added a line of Espresso for a belt and a small sword/dagger/weapon (dont know what to call it!) with Chelsea Bridge Road and Wet Cement.  Loose pieces of caviar were added to finish this nail off.

For my index finger, I drew Tinkerbell's dress on with Twiggie and outlined it with Emerald.  I then drew on her wings with White and her legs with Lychee.  To add dimension to the wings, I added spots of Trafalgar Crescent. I finished off by outlining her legs with Black.

Finally, for my pinkie finger, I added blue waves for the croc to swim in with Blue Grape and using Emerald and Sassy, I drew on the croc with my small nail art brush.  I added the words Tik Tok with White to finalise the look.  Its all topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.
